This resolution created a standardized hiring process for all seasonal positions. <br />Discussion: <br />City Council approved the hiring of seasonal Ice Rink Attendants beginning in 2020 after the Parks and <br />Recreation Department was formed. Resolution 5546 requires the approval of seasonal staff take place six <br />(6) weeks prior to the actual hiring. <br />Staff is requesting to fill up to 10 part-time seasonal Ice Rink Attendant positions. Employment is anticipated <br />to begin mid -December and work until the ice begins to thaw. The City's ice skating rinks are located within <br />Hillview and Lambert Parks. New Ice Rink Attendants will be paid $12.00 per hour, and returning employees <br />will be paid $13.00 per hour.
