MERIDIAN SERVICES INC August 2018/July 2022 <br />DSP/Overnight Shift Supervisor (Specialty/Crisis Services) <br />• Provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. <br />• Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and <br />grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks. <br />• Fosters positive relationships between caretakers and individuals served. <br />• Ensures client safety and maintaining a safe environment. <br />• Reminds and assists clients with self -administration of medications (with proper <br />training). <br />• Encourages self-help activities. <br />• Reports changes in client's condition or family situation to administrators and <br />supervisors. <br />• Documents services provided. <br />• Performs home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, <br />and cleaning. <br />• Plans meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and <br />clean-up. <br />• Accompanies clients to scheduled appointments and transports clients or running errands <br />for clients. <br />• Assists with toileting, including bedpans, urinals, and commode chairs as necessary. <br />• Other duties as assigned. <br />RESCARE INC August 2008 to Oct 2020 <br />DSP/Program Coordinator <br />• Assist vulnerable adults with daily living and life coaching skills. <br />• Follow all behavior management programs, procedures, methodologies and interventions. <br />• Assisting people served with budgeting and financial planning. <br />• Identify signs of agitation and use the least restrictive intervention possible, according to <br />person centered program and written plan/policy. <br />• Develop, coordinate, and supervises community recreation and education programs for <br />vulnerable adults, including physical and passive activities year round. <br />• Complete Progress notes for all individuals at the end of each shift and health notes at <br />the end of each shift and after every appointment. <br />• Assisting clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing <br />• Assisting clients and other staff complete housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, <br />washing dishes and tidying up. <br />• Helping plan client appointments and organize a schedule <br />• Organizing with transportation arrangements to appointments <br />• Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs <br />• Encouraging client's engagement in social networks and communities. <br />
