I apologize for the lateness of my application. I am aware that two current Charter Commissioners are not re -applying for appointment. Therefore, hopefully you will still accept my application for consideration particularly if there have not been sufficient applications received to fill all the available Mounds View Charter Commissioner seats currently up for appointment. This letter will serve as both my resume and my response to the application's three questions. From an education standpoint, I have a high school education, I have owned and operated Classic Auto Repair for 7 years. The business specializes in providing mechanical services for classic cars, and we also provide car storage services for classic car owners. I have lived in Mounds View for 13 years and have started to become more involved in the community. My initial community involvement has been as a Board member with the Mounds View Police Foundation since 2020. The Foundation partners with the Mounds View Police Department's community outreach effort by holding various fundraisers over the year to provide financial support for the outreach events. The Foundation members also, obviously, volunteer at the outreach events. Through my involvement with the Police Foundation, I have become more informed about the City's local government operation and structure and that it is a home rule charter city. My rudimentary understanding of the City Charter and the role it plays in both providing resident rights and governance guidelines for the City Council and City staff has piqued my interest in learning more about the collaboration and partnership that needs to occur between the Charter 1
