RESOLUTION NO. 9679 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING SEPARATION COMPENSATION FOR <br />GIS TECHNICIAN JACOB GARIBAY <br />WHEREAS, GIS Technician Jacob Garibay submitted his resignation effective December <br />29, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2.11 Retirement Health Savings Plan (RHSP) of <br />the Mounds View Personnel Manual, employees who complete two (2) or more years of service <br />and leave the City in good standing shall contribute their eligible sick leave hours, converted at <br />the rate of 50%, to their RHSP. Fifty -percent (50%) of accrued vacation compensation is <br />converted to the RHSP; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5.03 Separation Procedures and Policies of the <br />Mounds View Personnel Manual, upon separation, 50% of remaining vacation hours not <br />designated to the RHSP, and any compensatory time hours (if accrued), will be paid on the <br />employees final paycheck; and <br />WHEREAS, the rate of pay for Mr. Garibay upon resignation date was $37.64 per hour. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves <br />estimated separation compensation to Mr. Jacob Garibay consistent with Sections 2.11 and <br />5.03 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual as follows: <br />Hours <br />Hourly rate <br />Payout <br />Vacation Hours 50% <br />44.10 <br />$37.64 <br />$ 1,659.93 Cash Payout <br />Vacation Hours 50% <br />44.10 <br />$37.64 <br />$ 1,659.93 Into RHSP <br />Compensatory Hours <br />0.00 <br />$37.64 <br />$ 0.00 Cash Payout <br />Sick Leave 50% <br />186.56 <br />$37.64 <br />$ 7,022.12 Into RHSP <br />Total Separation Compensation: <br />$10,341.98 <br />Adopted this 27th day of December, 2022. <br />Jwz djzw_�11� <br />Carol A.
