Mounds View City Council December 27, 2022 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked Council Member Bergeron for his service on the City <br />Council and stated he should be proud of what has been accomplished in the City over the past six <br />years. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause explained he has been serving with Mayor Mueller for the past 10 <br />years. He commented on the street projects, infrastructure investments and developments that <br />occurred over the last 16 years and reported Mayor Mueller had a great deal to be proud of. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak thanked Council Member Bergeron and Mayor Mueller for their <br />dedicated service to the City of Mounds View. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak reported the Mounds View Police Foundation will be meeting on <br />January 10 at 5:30 p.m. at Hodges Park to discuss the Daddy Daughter Dance which would be <br />held on Saturday, February 4. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron stated he has been humbled many times while serving on the City <br />Council over the past six years. He thanked the Council for their kind words and stated he was <br />grateful for each of the Councilmembers and staff members that serve the City so diligently. He <br />explained he appreciated the residents that voted him onto the City Council. He stated he has <br />nothing but gratitude for the City Council and those serving as staff members. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller explained the past 16 years have gone by so quickly. She commented on her <br />legacy, how she has worked to ensure every voice in the community was heard and that every <br />person was treated with dignity and respect. She stated it has been her honor to serve this City and <br />be a voice for Mounds View. She thanked staff and the Council for working with her and for their <br />friendship over the years. She discussed the recent publication of the community education <br />program and discussed how trapshooting was a growing sport in the State of Minnesota. She <br />thanked the Festival in the Park Committee for their donation to the community and encouraged <br />residents to consider participating in an upcoming parks and recreation program. Last, she <br />commented on a package she received from an anonymous member in the community. <br /> <br />B. Reports of Staff. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer thanked Council Member Bergeron and Mayor Mueller for their service to <br />the City of Mounds View. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund stated on Monday, January 23 Mayor Mueller and Council Member <br />Bergeron will be recognized for their service. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund discussed the items the Council would be discussing at their <br />worksession meeting on Tuesday, January 3. <br /> <br />10. Next Council Work Session: Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. <br />(following special meeting)
