Business <br />City Administrator Review: <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9656, Approving Appointments to the City of <br />Mounds View's Boards, Commissions, and Committees <br />Introduction: <br />The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission, Planning Commission and Economic <br />Development Commission have term seats that will expire on December 31, 2022. <br />Discussion: <br />Economic Development Commission (Two Seats Open) <br />As a reminder, the Economic Development Authority will approve EDC appointments by <br />resolution at their November 28, 2022, meeting. <br />Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission (Two Seats Open) <br />Staff received two applications for the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission: <br />Cindy Palm and John Lundberg. <br />Cindy Palm is currently serving on the PRF Commission. John Lundberg is a new <br />applicant. Colleen Sullivan did not seek reappointment. <br />The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission met October 27, 2022, and <br />recommends that the City Council reappoint Cindy Palm and appoint John Lundberg for <br />new terms to the Mounds View Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. <br />Both terms will expire December 31, 2025. <br />Planning Commission: (One Seat Open) <br />Staff received one application for the Planning Commission: Gary Rundle. <br />Gary Rundle is currently serving on the Planning Commission and is seeking <br />reappointment. <br />The Planning Commission, at their November 2, 2022, meeting approved Resolution <br />No. 1155-22, recommending that the City Council reappoint Gary Rundle to a new term <br />on the Mounds View Planning Commission. <br />
