Mounds View City Council December 12, 2022 <br />Regular Meeting Page 18 <br /> <br />Licenses. 1 <br /> 2 <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the renewal of the Mounds View 3 <br />liquor licenses. He reported all requests were fully compliant and staff recommended approval. 4 <br /> 5 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9667, 6 <br />Approving the Renewal of Mounds View Liquor Licenses. 7 <br /> 8 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Mueller recessed the City Council meeting at 10:12 p.m. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Mayor Mueller reconvened the City Council meeting at 10:17 p.m. 13 <br /> 14 <br />H. PUBLIC HEARING: Ordinance 994, Amending the City Charter Pertaining 15 <br />to Filing for Office Charter Commission. ROLL CALL VOTE 16 <br /> 17 <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council adopt an Ordinance amending the City Charter 18 <br />pertaining to filing for office for the Charter Commission. He discussed how technical the process 19 <br />was to update the City Charter. He reported a majority vote of the Charter Commission and a 20 <br />unanimous vote of the Council was required in order to amend the City Charter. He commented 21 <br />further on the proposed Charter change pertaining to filing for office and term limits and 22 <br />recommended approval. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 10:19 p.m. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Mueller closed the public hearing at 10:20 p.m. 27 <br /> 28 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Cermak. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Ordinance 994, 29 <br />Amending the City Charter Pertaining to Filing for Office Charter Commission. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked Commissioner Brandon Clawson for addressing this matter 32 <br />with the Charter Commission. 33 <br /> 34 <br />ROLL CALL: Bergeron/Cermak/Hull/Meehlhause/Mueller. 35 <br /> 36 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 37 <br /> 38 <br />I. PUBLIC HEARING: Ordinance 995, Amending the City Charter Pertaining 39 <br />to Vacancies in Elected Office. ROLL CALL VOTE 40 <br /> 41 <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council adopt an Ordinance amending the City Charter 42 <br />pertaining to vacancies in elected office. He thanked Attorney Joe Sathe for his assistance in 43 <br />crafting this Ordinance. 44 <br /> 45 <br />Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 10:24 p.m. 46
