ORDINANCE NO. 1001 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 90.005 OF THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY CODE <br />REGARDING RAISING, KEEPING DOMESTIC OR FARM ANIMALS <br />THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 9, Chapter 90, <br />Section 90.005 (A) (1) of the Mounds View Municipal Code by adding the double -underlined material <br />and deleting the stamen material as follows: <br />§ 90.005 RAISING, KEEPING DOMESTIC OR FARM ANIMALS. <br />(A) (1) Nuisance declared. <br />(a) It is hereby declared to be unlawful and a public nuisance affecting the public <br />peace, safety and welfare for an owner or resident within the city to keep or raise any farm <br />animal, except as noted below. <br />(b) Residents on properties zoned R-1, single-family residential, maybe permitted <br />to keep and raise up to eighttwelve chickens and/or ducks under the following conditions and <br />restrictions. <br />SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 9, Chapter 90, <br />Section 90.005 (B) (2) (b) of the Mounds View Municipal Code by adding the double -underlined <br />material and deleting the stamen material as follows: <br />(b) Applicants for a beekeeping license shall provide proof of applicable training or <br />provide a waiver indicating how-feguifedreauired experience has been obtained. <br />SECTION 3.
