Resolution 9702, Approving a JPA with the City of Fridley for the 2023 Street <br />4 Project. <br />5 <br />6 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve a JPA with <br />7 the City of Fridley for the 2023 Street Project. He reported staff and the City Attorney had <br />8 reviewed the JPA and recommended approval. <br />9 <br />10 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Lindstrom. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9702, <br />11 Approving a JPA with the City of Fridley for the 2023 Street Project. <br />12 <br />13 Council Member Lindstrom asked if the trail was included in this project. Public Works/Parks and <br />14 Recreation Director Peterson reported this portion of the project would be bid as an alternate to <br />15 this project. <br />16 <br />17 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />18 <br />19 G. Resolution 9704, Approving and Authorization for a Joint Powers Agreement <br />20 with the City of Spring Lake Park for the 2022-2023 Street Rehabilitation <br />21 Project — Trail Section along Mounds View Boulevard. <br />22 <br />23 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve and authorize <br />24 a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Spring Lake Park for the 2022-2023 Street <br />25 Rehabilitation Project — Trail Section along Mounds View Boulevard. He commented on the <br />26 proposed trail noting the City would be installing the trail and Spring Lake Park would be <br />27 responsible for all future maintenance. Staff reported the City Attorney had reviewed this JPA <br />28 agreement and recommends approval. <br />29 <br />30 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Cermak. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9704, <br />31 Approving and Authorization for a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Spring Lake Park for <br />32 the 2022-2023 Street Rehabilitation Project — Trail Section along Mounds View Boulevard. <br />33 <br />34 Council Member Meehlhause recommended Item I be amended removing City of Fridley and <br />35 replacing this with the City of Spring Lake Park. <br />36 <br />37 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />38 <br />39 9. REPORTS <br />40 A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />41 <br />42 Mayor Hull stated he would be interested in the City purchasing the mermaid statue from The <br />43 Mermaid. City Administrator Zikmund reported staff could investigate this and report back to the <br />44 Council at a future meeting. He indicated the mermaid may not be for sale and the Council would <br />45 have to consider restoration costs. <br />46 <br />
