In that ordinance <br />is a requirement that recycling services be provided by the licensed MSW hauler and that they <br />report the number of dwelling units serviced. With this data their market share can be calculated. <br />Based upon the 2008 second quarter reports, market shares for different haulers are as follows: <br />Hauler A <br />- 13.1 % <br />Hauler B <br />- 5.1 % <br />Hauler C <br />- 4.5% <br />Hauler D <br />- 25.2% <br />Hauler E - <br />24.4% <br />Hauler F - <br />12.2% <br />Hauler G <br />- 15.5% <br />Knowing the market shares, number of households and distances between households, one can <br />calculate an estimate of the fuel consumption for the entire city's solid waste collection services. <br />In Table 4-16 the haulers are listed in order of market share from smallest to largest.
