Rochester <br />Rochester's recycling is collected every week. Most of the residents participate with a bin <br />system. This dual sort system requires the hauler to manually load the materials on the truck. <br />Approximately one-third of the residents are provided a cart for recycling and the materials are <br />loaded the same as garbage with an ASL. <br />Table 4-23 shows the fuel consumptions for the existing mix of automated and manual bin <br />system with an assumption of 15 seconds of loading time for each approach.
