RESOLUTION NO. 4432 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF LAND <br />FOR THE PROPOSED GOLF COURSE AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE AGREEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City appointed a Golf Course Task Force in 1992 <br />to develop plans and financing methods for a proposed municipal <br />golf course in the northeast quadrant of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Golf Course Task Force, over a period of 14 <br />months has determined that a profitable and challenging 9 hole <br />executive golf course and practice range can be constructed with <br />the purchase of additional land; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Golf Course Task <br />Force, the City authorized negotiations to proceed for the <br />acqusition of additional land; and <br />WHEREAS, a purchase price has been negotiated for the <br />additional land for the golf course site as defined as: Lot 16, <br />Blaine Northstar Industrial Park and Lots 5, 4, and the southern. <br />half of Lot 3, Preliminary Plat of the Mounds View Northstar <br />Industrial Park in the amount of $204,504.90 for Lot 16, and <br />$356,603.94 for Lot 5, 4, and the southern half of Lot 3 for a <br />total purchase price of $561,108.84. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council does <br />hereby appr'ove the purchase of additinal land for the proposed golf <br />course, subject to the provisions of the purchase agreements and <br />does futher authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to exective <br />the final purchase agreements. <br />Adopted this 11th day of October, 1993. <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) <br />
