RIGGS: Objection, your Honor, relevance.
THE COURT: Overruled.
BY MR. AMUNDSEN:
Q Can you describe the reason the council gave
for Mr. Doty not to be reappointed?
A So, your Honor, Mr. Amundsen, I can only tell
you what I was instructed to do. I certainly can't get
into the minds of the five council members on how they
acted. I was, again, directed to recruit new
individuals. The council was given a slate of names, and
the council then makes that decision, and I executed the
decision. And that resulted in the council recommending
a different slate -- or not recommending Mr. Doty's name.
There was more candidates than there was positions to
fill.
MR. AMUNDSEN: That's the end of my redirect at
this time.
THE COURT: Anything else?
MR. RIGGS: No, your Honor.
THE COURT: All right. Thanks. You can step
down.
Does the city wish to call any other witnesses?
And Doty, is that D-o-t-y?
