Resolution 9698, Appreciation to Dan Larson for his Service on the Economic <br />Development Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Hull read a Resolution of Appreciation in full for the record recognizing Dan Larson for <br />his years of dedicated service on the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Dan Larson thanked the Council for this recognition and explained he has enjoyed his time serving <br />the City of Mounds View. A round of applause was offered by all in attendance. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9698, <br />Appreciation to Dan Larson for his Service on the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked Dan Larson for his dedicated service to both the <br />Commission and the community. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. First Reading and Introduction of Ordinance 1002, Approving an Amendment <br />to the 2023 Fee Schedule Regarding Storm Water Management Fees. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council introduce Ordinance 1002 which would <br />approve an amendment to the storm water management fees within the 2023 fee schedule. He <br />discussed the process the City followed to become the LGU in order to oversee and approve the <br />City’s watershed requests. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Cermak. To Waive the First Reading and Introduce Ordinance <br />1002, Approving an Amendment to the 2023 Fee Schedule Regarding Storm Water Management <br />Fees. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Second Reading, Adoption and Summary Publication of Ordinance 1001, <br />Amending Chapter 90, Section 90.005 of the City Code increasing number of <br />allowed chickens from 8 to 12. ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council adopt an Ordinance that would amend Chapter <br />90 of City Code increasing the number of allowed chickens from eight to twelve. It was noted the <br />Council heard the first reading of this Ordinance at the February 27 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Lindstrom asked if the Council supported residents having to wait one year <br />before moving from four chickens to eight chickens. City Administrator Zikmund stated he did <br />not believe there was Council consensus on this matter. <br />
