I work with seven folks on the Economic Development Commission who volunteer their time to encourage <br /> development in M.V., so it's very helpful having resident input. <br /> <br />In regards to a potential residential development in the Laport Meadows area, no specific plan has been presented to the Planning Commission. We have been in contact with two developers--Rick <br /> Boschee Homes (Roseville) and Coldwell Banker/Skyline Builders (Minneapolis) who are interested in pursuing residential development in M.V. Most likely, though this very preliminary, <br /> any project would have a mixture of housing (e.g. custom-built homes, condos, townhomes, etc.). Both developers are aware that they will need to comply with wetland/floodplain requirements <br /> and address noise issues (e.g. sound wall extension).
