Park and Recreation Committee Meeting Agenda <br />April 28, 2005 <br />6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />1. Roll Call <br /> <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from the March 17, 2005 meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />3. Unfinished Business: <br /> <br />Greenfield Park Play Equipment - <br />The equipment arrived on April 27th. Staff will be preparing the lot in late May and will start assembly in June. There will be a dedication ceremony on June 23rd. <br /> <br />Groveland Park Building Replacement. – <br />A draft plan will be submitted on Thursday, April 28, 2005. Comments will be need at the May 26th meeting. <br /> <br />Facility Guide Update – <br />The printing of the Facility Guide will be delayed until there is more information pertaining to the Groveland Building. Steve will present the cost for printing the guide. The number <br /> of copies to print and the frequency of reproduction will need to be discussed by the Commissioners. <br /> <br />YMCA Committee Update – <br />The April meeting was cancelled. <br /> <br />2004 Park Needs Analysis – <br />The category B items were approved byCity Council on March 28th. <br /> <br />City Wide Survey <br />The City Wide Survey has been completed and presented to the City Council on April 11, 2005. Attached is a copy of the results. There will be a Town Hall Meeting on April 30, 2005 to <br /> discuss the result of the survey. <br /> <br />LaCrosse Field / Oakwood Park Renovation Project <br />Staff continues to work on a complete proposal for Oakwood Park including the construction of a field, the removal of the existing playground equipment, and the installation of tot-lot <br /> playground equipment. Costs and impacts still need to be determined. Discussions with the Watershed will also need to occur. A rough draft of the proposal is attached. <br /> <br />Park Lighting Project <br />Staff continues to work with an electrical contractor to develop a lighting proposal. No rebates are available.
