Item 8C <br /> Consent Agenda <br /> Monday, April 25, 2005 <br /> City Administrator Review: ______ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 6501 <br />  <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />  <br />  <br />PROCLAIMING APRIL 29, 2005 AS “ARBOR DAY” <br />  <br />            WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for twenty-three consecutive years as Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its efforts in urban forestry; <br /> and <br />  <br />            WHEREAS, trees in our City beautify our surroundings, shade our parks and residences, increase property values and enhance the economic vitality of business areas, and <br />  <br />            WHEREAS, neighbors and scouts will be planting trees at Sunnyside School; and <br />  <br />            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that April 29, 2005, be Arbor Day in Mounds View and public-spirited and foresighted citizens be called upon to assist in the planting of trees <br /> now for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. <br />  <br />              <br />Adopted this 25th day of April, 2005 <br />  <br />  <br />                                               ___________________________________ <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br />  <br />  <br />                                     ___________________________________ <br />Kurt Ulrich, Clerk/Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />(seal)
