<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for twenty-three consecutive years as Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its efforts in urban forestry; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, trees in our City beautify our surroundings, shade our parks and residences, increase property values and enhance the economic vitality of business areas, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, neighbors and scouts will be planting trees at Sunnyside School; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that April 29, 2005, be Arbor Day in Mounds View and public-spirited and foresighted citizens be called upon to assist in the planting of trees <br /> now for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 25th day of April, 2005 <br /> <br /> ___________________________________ <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br /> ___________________________________ <br />Kurt Ulrich, Clerk/Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />4. New Business: <br /> <br />Select parks to visit / review May 26, 2005 <br />Take the tour on a separate night of the monthly meeting. <br />May 24th was selected as the date to conduct the tour. An email will be sent out to confirm. <br />Go to : Groveland, Oakwood, Trail between Oakwood and Greenfield, Knollwood, Woodcrest, and Lakeside Park <br /> <br />Any Other Items? None <br /> <br /> <br />5. Commissioner/Staff Reports: <br />Irondale Youth Hockey committee has been assigned / appointed. Association elections were held last week. <br /> Town Hall Meeting April 30th. <br />Lakeside Lionsd Park Improvement Committee Meeting <br />Fishing pier should be in by mid June <br />Lake water levels could be raised this fall <br /> <br />Silver View Soccer – Silver View is book throughout the summer. There is a mole problem that is being addressed by the Parks division. <br />Commissioner Aukee had a question pertaining to booking the use of a field. The issue was people/staff not being knowledgeable on booking usage.
