Elected and Appointed Officials, Community and Business Leaders, Health Programs and Services, School Officials and <br />Staff, City and County Staff, Residents of Ramsey County ....... <br /> <br />RCLLG is excited to invite you to participate in a fun, interesting evening of information, discussion and sharing. <br /> <br />The "Active Living Ramsey County! initiative is holding a session on Thursday, September 29th, 4:30 - 8:00, at the New <br />Brighton Family Service Center. <br /> <br />Active Living Ramsey County! was designed to create and promote environments that make it safe and convenient for <br />people to integrate physical activity into their daily routines. In many communities it is difficult to walk or bike to school, <br />work and other destinations. The ALRC initiative is looking at changes to designs, transportation and policies which <br />support physical activity in our daily routine. Walking...Playing in the Park...Bicycling...activity that is good for people, <br />for the community, the state and our nation. <br /> <br />Nationally known experts will guide our community through the planning process. Ann Forsyth, Director of the <br />Metropolitan Design Center at the University of Minnesota; Rich Killingsworth, Program Director for the Ruth Mott <br />Foundation, Flint Michigan, and Tyler Norris, President of Community Initiatives, Inc., Boulder Colorado. <br /> <br />Jan Parker, Ramsey County Commissioner and Sue Gehrz, Mayor of Falcon Heights co-chair the local initiative. <br /> <br />Please take a moment to review the attached invitation, ALRC background, speaker bios and map to the New Brighton <br />Family Service Center. <br /> <br />Space is limited.
