<br />CC: Community Commercial: Land use principally engaged in the provision of goods or services
<br />with a primary service to the community. Community commercial uses would typically be located in
<br />a small commercial/retail center. Examples would include community shopping center, retail,
<br />service oriented businesses, funeral homes, banks, savings and loans, restaurants and/or bars,
<br />veterinary clinics, and day care centers.
<br />
<br />RC: Regional Commercial: Land use principally engaged in the provision of goods and services with
<br />a primary service area of 10 or more miles. Regional commercial uses would typically be located in
<br />or near a large commercial/retail center. Examples would include nurseries, full line department
<br />stores, supermarkets, regional shopping centers, parking structures and lots, theaters, lodge halls,
<br />restaurants, hotels and motels, and amusement parks, and sport/public assembly facilities.
<br />
<br />HC: Highway Commercial: Land use principally engaged in the provision of goods and services that
<br />primarily services customers attracted from a nearby major transportation arterial. Examples include
<br />hotels, motels, drive-in/fast food restaurants, gas stations, car washes, and automotive service
<br />stations.
<br />
<br />OFC: Office: Land use predominantly involved in administrative, professional, or clerical services.
<br />Examples include office buildings, medical clinics and offices, and dental offices.
<br />
<br />MU-PUD: Mixed Use - Planned Unit Development: Land containing a building or buildings with
<br />significant amounts of residential uses in combination with commercial and/or office uses. Sites with
<br />this designation should be developed as planned unit developments to provide flexibility to ensure
<br />that integrated efficient and well-planned development occurs. Examples include projects that could
<br />provide for a mix of residential and commercial uses within single or multiple structures.
<br />
<br />LI: Light Industrial: Land used primarily in the manufacture, processing, fabrication, assembly,
<br />packaging, incidental storage, sales, and distribution of predominantly previously prepared
<br />materials, finished products or parts. Light industrial uses would typically have all processing within
<br />buildings, require limited exterior storage, generate limited amounts of truck traffic, and be free of
<br />hazardous or objectionable elements such as noise, odor, dust, smoke, glare or other pollutants.
<br />Examples include greenhouses, food and drink processing plants and storage, light manufacturing
<br />and assembly, small machine and tool and die shops, flex industrial centers, mini-warehouses, and
<br />research and development facilities.
<br />
<br />IN: Institutional: Land used primarily for religious, governmental, educational, social or health care
<br />facilities excluding clinics. Examples include nursing homes, private hospitals, tax exempt
<br />properties owned by federal, state, county, city or school districts, fire stations, libraries, private
<br />schools, churches, cemeteries, and monuments.
