City of Mounds View Comprehensive Plan <br /> Public Facilities <br /> 1. Maintain existing facilities. <br /> 2. Continually evaluate programs to insure that they meet the needs of Mounds View <br /> citizens. <br /> 3. Maintain water and sanitary sewer system infrastructure. <br /> Transportation <br /> 1. Maintain and reconstruct streets as necessary and consistent with the City's streets <br /> policy. <br /> 2. Work with Ramsey County to develop a plan for the future reconstruction of County <br /> Highway 10. <br /> 3. Work with the Metropolitan Council Transit Organization to improve transit service <br /> in Mounds View. <br /> 4. Encourage the use of transit and travel demand management techniques within the <br /> community. <br /> 5. Implement the City's trailways plan. <br /> 6. Support compliance with the Settlement Agreement and Mutual Release entered into <br /> on May 15, 2000,by and between the City of Mounds View,Metropolitan Airports <br /> Commission, and Metropolitan Council that limits the runway length of the north- <br /> south runway to its current length of 4855 feet and prohibits the installation or <br /> operation of an Instrument Landing System or Microwave Landing System on the <br /> north-south runway. Support continued classification by the Minnesota Legislature <br /> of the Anoka County-Blaine Airport as a "minor use airport" and oppose any <br /> proposals to expand the definition or characteristics of a "minor use airport", <br /> including but not limited to runway length, of minor use airports. <br /> Economic Development <br /> 1.
