RESOLUTION NO. 9735 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING SEPARATION COMPENSATION FOR <br />POLICE CHIEF NATE HARDER <br />WHEREAS, Police Chief Nate Harder has retired due to a disability from the City of <br />Mounds View with a last employment date of April 3, 2023; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2.11 of the City of Mounds View Personnel <br />Manual, non -union POST Certified employees upon separation from the City, who have <br />completed two (2) or more years of service and leave in good standing, shall contribute 100% <br />of accrued vacation compensation to the Retirement Health Savings Plan (RHSP); and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the City of Mounds View Personnel Manual, employees <br />who have completed two (2) or more years of service and leave the City in good standing shall <br />contribute their eligible sick leave hours, converted at the rate of 50%, to their RHSP; and <br />WHEREAS, Chief Harder has a current leave balance of 163.60 hours of vacation time <br />and 4.07 hours of sick leave time (50% = 2.04 hours); and <br />WHEREAS, the rate of pay for Chief Harder upon resignation was $73.28 per hour. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves <br />separation compensation to Police Chief Nate Harder consistent with Section 2.11 of the City of <br />Mounds View Personnel Manual as follows: <br />Hours <br />Hourly rate <br />Payout <br />Vacation Hours <br />163.60 <br />$73.28 <br />$11,988.61 Into RHSP <br />50% Sick Leave <br />2.04 <br />$73.28 <br />$ 149.49 Into RHSP <br />Total Separation Compensation: <br />$12,138.10 <br />ATTEST: <br />(seal) <br />Adopted this 10t" day of April, 2023. <br />Gary Meehlhause, Acting Mayor <br />IN 2L/4/ <br />Nyle ikm d, Ci y Administrator <br />
