As you are aware we currently offer a variety
of' girl's and youth softball leagues, a synopsis of the three leagues 'We
currently offer are as follows:
Youth Softball - this is a co-ed program dor youth entering
4th through 6th grades. The program is coordinated by volunteer
coaches assigned by our department and we provide each coach
with a team roster, equipment and game schedules.
•
Girl' s Softball - the league is oriented toward the junior high
school age group or girls entering 7th through 9th grades as
of September, 1981. This league 1s similar to the Youth program
where in we assign the volunteer coach to a team' end we' provide
a team roster, equipment and game schedule..
. Both the youth and girl's softball leagues are recreationally oriented with
the teams balanced by our department by age, Area and' past experience to
ensure equitable league play. We only register individual players in both
the youth and girl's leagues at a cost of $10.00Jplayer.
•
The third league that is offered would be our Senior Girl's .1 a ue
e g , The Senor
Girl's league is run very similar to ou : adult softball leagues, as we only
accept team registrations and not individual players .- The league.terids .to'•be
more competitive in nature and we provide 4.$.A.. sanc4gned "umpires.'
