S P
•
• ARDEN HILLS, MOUNDS VIEW, NEW BRIGHTON, SHOREVIEW
• D O
gq0tel,
July 21, 1981
Good Day:
The above mentioned agencies will host a meeting Tuesday, August 18, 1981 at
7:30 p.m.. at the Mounds View District Service Center, 2959 North Hamline Avenue
in the Boardroom. A representative from your organization is cordially invited.
The meeting agenda will include the following topics :
a) Youth Sport Philosophy
b) Reasons for a Youth Athletic Consortium
• c) Benefits of such a Youth Athletic Consortium
d) Association Consortium Involvement
e) Goals and Objectives
It is our opinion that the associations and agencies involved will benefit from such
meetings. A cooperative effort in philosophy development and implementation, goals
and objectives structure, joint coaches clinic, cooperative facility distribution,
and greater communications as to activities , dates and schedules, are just a few of
the possible benefits .
Enclosed is a questionaire concerning the benefits of establishing an area Youth
Athletic Consortium covering the area of Arden Hills , Mounds View, New Brighton,
and Shoreview. Such a consortium would be compromised of athletic associations
and agencies including:
Irondale Basketball Association
Mounds View Athletic Association (Baseball )
Mounds View Football Association
11, Mounds View Wrestling Club
Lake Region Hockey
Jr. Mustangs (Basketball )
