<br /> demonstration homes. Precast concrete drain pipes are stacked vertically to form the side retaining walls. The
<br /> pipes are stabilised by attaching a steel cable to the top of the pipe wall and at an angle to the footing. This angle
<br /> allows the tipping forces on the pipe wall to be resisted by cable tension. The pipe wall then is filled with earth
<br /> for additional weight and stability.
