It' s already time for another regular Parks <br /> and Recreation Commission meeting - to be held Thursday, August <br /> 24 at 6: 30 p.m at City Hall. <br /> Summer activities are winding down and Fall activities are <br /> beginning. Summer seasonal staff are finishing up their <br /> activities, most leaving the Friday before Labor Day weekend. <br /> The City Council will be discussing further the issues of <br /> removing playground equipment and opting for replacement of <br /> playground equipment using contingency funds. In addition, they <br /> • will be discussing immediate implementation of the tree planting <br /> plan for Silver View rather than a phased-in approach. The <br /> pedestrian bridge is still an issue which will be further <br /> discussed at the September 5 work session. <br /> Staff will update you on department activities. Staff will also <br /> be ready for direction from the Commission regarding issues of <br /> the day. <br /> If you are unable to attend the meeting please call me at 784- <br /> 0618 .
