• MEMO TO: PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSIONERS
FROM: MARY SAARION, DIRECTOR
DATE: FEBRUARY 7, 1995
SUBJECT: REPRESENTATIVE FOR HWY 10 DEVELOPMENT PLAN
A member of the Parks and Recreation Commission has bee
requested to be a part of a committee to plan the Hwy 10
corridor. This is a goal of the Economic Development Commission,
who wishes a broad subgroup of people to delve into planning for
the Hwy 10 corridor. Parks and Recreation ideas can make a great
contribution because we are especially concerned with pedestrian
and bicycle modes of transportation across and along Hwy 10. We
are advocates of aesthetic landscapes and tree-lined boulevards.
We are advocates of visually attractive areas that bring people
together. In addition, we are good at suggesting what it is that
attracts people - enjoyment, social interaction, beauty,
activities that people can participate in, community events and
other activities.
If you are interested please call Chair Wayne Burmeister at 786-
4890.
411
111
