The center's hours were
expanded, a girls' basketball and skills development camp were funded; and
other activities such as football, a community reunion, block party, midnight
basketball, and girls' drill team were established. Additionally, field trips,
sewing, boxing, skating parties, drug awareness and tutoring programs were
instituted. Social service agencies and the Health Department provided staff
for a number of the programs.
