I
am back to the old schedule at work and home and suppose that you
are the same. We start out the new year with our first 1996
meeting to be held Thursday, January 25, 1996 at 6 : 30 p.m. at
City Hall, Conference Room C.
The agenda and packet of information is enclosed. Please
remember the City Council meeting Monday, January 22 where we
will hear a presentation from Ramsey County regarding the
improvement to Old Highway 8 . Our concern is for the addition of
an off-street bicycle/pedestrian path to this road improvement.
4111110 There are two important issues that are beginning to be presented
to the City Council - including the possible sale of the Bel Rae
to the City for a Community Center, and the partnership
opportunity for School District cities in the ice arena
cooperative at the MN Amateur Sports Commission. See the
information in the packet.
Winter ice rinks have had a wonderful season so far - the best
that I can remember in years. The weather has been grand for ice
skating. We have a good group of warming house attendants. The
buildings are working out beautifully.
If you are unable to attend the meeting please call me at 784-
0618 . I hope that you all can make special efforts to attend
because of the two important projects looming, which we need to
be up on and provide recommendation and support.
Sincerely,
•
Mary Sa rion, Director
Parks, Recreation & Forestry
r ! 2401 Highway 10 • Mounds View, MN 55112-1499
1SOYWKI g Y
''
Equal Opportunity Employer '"°' °a°
