This is an important issue for us <br /> too because we hope to advocate for an off-street trail along Old <br /> Highway 8 connecting to the New Brighton walkway and also <br /> accessing Long Lake Regional Park. In addition, an off-street <br /> trailway will provide a safe walking/bicycling path for people <br /> living in Townsedge Terrace to access such destinations as <br /> Edgewood School, Long Lake Road sidewalk, the library, pedestrian <br /> bridge, etc. <br /> So, I wish to suggest that we meet at 6: 30 p.m. to do what we <br /> • must do and then join in on the informational meeting to advocate <br /> for the off-street trail. After the meeting we can perhaps meet <br /> again shortly if necessary to finish up business. <br /> The next meeting then is Thursday, February 22 , 1996 at 6: 30 p.m. <br /> We will begin in Conference Room C and then join the road <br /> construction public information meeting at 7 : 00p.m. in the <br /> Council Chambers. <br /> If you are unable to attend the meeting please call me at 784- <br /> 0618 .
