MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> February 24 , 1983 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6 : 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairperson <br /> Wayne Burmeister at 6 : 36 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Donna Bowman, Chairperson <br /> Wayne Burmeister, Frank Silvis , David Long, <br /> Cindy Wermager <br /> Commissioners absent: Ed Letendre, Wayne Weflen <br /> Councilmember Doty attended the meeting briefly <br /> and indicated that he would be unable to attend <br /> the meeting due to a scheduling conflict. <br /> Staff present: Director Anderson and Program <br /> Supervisor Saarion <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion to approve the minutes of January 27 , 1983 <br /> Park Commission meeting was made by Commissioner <br /> Silvis . The motion was seconded by Commissioner <br /> Bowman . Passed unanimously . <br /> 5 ayes <br /> 0 nayes <br /> CHAIRMAN 'S REPORT Chairperson Wayne Burmeister indicated that he <br /> had no major report at this time . <br /> COUNCILMEMBER'S <br /> REPORT No report <br /> REVIEW OF WORD Staff indicated that the City Council had approved <br /> PROCESSOR/MICRO- the purchase of two word processor/micro-processor <br /> PROCESSOR PURCHASE units ; one Phillips/Micom 3004 which is a dual <br /> disk drive unit and will be placed in the main <br /> City Hall office area. The second unit was a <br /> Phillips/Micom 3004 single disk drive which will <br /> be placed in the Parks and Recreation Department. <br /> Staff reviewed the potential usages of the word <br /> processor/micro-processor and indicated that they <br /> would keep the Commission apprised at future <br /> Commission meetings . <br /> SPRING RECREATION Program Supervisor Saarion distributed copies of <br /> PROGRAMS the March-April City Newsletter and reviewed the <br /> Spring Recreation Programs including the adult <br /> softball program, youth gymnastics program and <br /> highlighted the basketball free-throw contest and <br /> volunteer coaches training which was scheduled <br /> for early March. <br />
