Park Supervisor. The job description also helps assure that <br /> significant aspects of the job are explained to the supervisor. <br /> • <br /> ORGANIZATIONAL PLACE:iE::T: <br /> • <br /> The E.B.A. Supervisor directly supervises all assigned youngsters placed at <br /> his field and is therefore recdnized as the authoritative fig-ure at his par - • <br /> ticular field. The E.3.A. Park pe r.-vi.:;�r. is directly supervised by the E.B .A . <br /> Supervisor <br /> Program Director and to a lesser extent, is accountable to the E.B.A. Board <br /> of Directors. <br /> • <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> The bas411_ ic sic res;>ensibilitics are listed as follows. They do not imply exclusion <br /> I ' of others which may help the E.B.A. Park Supervisor serve the youngsters,E.B.A. <br /> Program Director, E.B.A. Board of Directors, and the community of Edina. <br /> 1. The E.B.A. Park Supervisor' s basic concerns are to develop the child <br /> toward the following goals: <br /> A. Attempt to develop a spirit of fairness and good sportsmanship. <br /> B. Encourage participation--allow as many youngsters to play baseball <br /> as want to play. <br /> C. Teach the basic fundamentals of baseball. • <br /> II. Each supervisor will have an assistant sutervisor to help and assist him <br /> • with the youngsters at his field. The assistants that have been hired have <br /> a moderate amount of baseball knowledge, but more imtortantly, genuinely <br /> like and relate well with youngsters. The supervisor should allow the <br /> assistant supervisor to help in encouraging each child to develop the basic <br /> skills of baseball to the best of his ability. The assistant supervisor <br /> should not take full responsibilities of duties that are delegated to both • <br /> (e.g. taking a practice session alone) . The supervisor should not channel <br /> his responsibilities onto the assistant supervisor.• <br /> III. Only. the supervisor and the assistant supervisor will be permitted to <br /> operate the Jugs pitching machine. iAh:,olutcly, under no conditions, should <br /> any youngster or unauthorized individual be allowed to operate the Jugs <br /> pitching machine. <br />
