Council made a <br />motion to post the Accountant position at the February Work Session. <br />Discussion <br />A posting based on the job description was announced for one -month with eight (8) candidates applying <br />for the position. Four (4) candidates interviewed, with two (2) returning for second interviews. The first <br />interview panel consisted of Finance Director Beer and HR Director Ewald. The second interview panel <br />consisted of Accountant Quasabart, Utility Billing Technician Kane, Permit Technician Nelson, and A.M. <br />Receptionist O'Connell. It was the consensus of both interview panels to recommend Ms. Bruzer to the <br />position of Accountant. Ms. Bruzer has a solid work history in Accounting and a strong desire to work for <br />the City. If hired, Ms. Bruzer would start at Step 1 of the pay scale ($35.43/hour); would be on probation <br />for six (6) months; and advance to Step 1.5 ($36.54/hour) subject to a satisfactory performance <br />evaluation. Ms. Bruzer would report directly to the Finance Director.
