Resolution 9733, Approving a Tree Removal Contract with Precision <br />3 Landscape and Tree. <br />4 <br />5 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the council approve a tree removal <br />6 contract with Precision Landscape and Tree. He discussed how the Public Works Department <br />7 oversees the City's forest. He reported a tree removal bid was put together by staff and noted <br />8 Precision Landscape and Tree provided the low bid. Staff recommended the Council approve the <br />9 three year contract with Precision Landscape and Tree. <br />10 <br />11 Finance Director Beer recommended the contract be approved contingent upon a satisfactory <br />12 background check. <br />13 <br />14 Council Member Lindstrom questioned what other cities Precision Landscape and Tree has <br />15 worked with. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson reported he was waiting to <br />16 hear from the contractor regarding this matter. <br />17 <br />18 Acting Mayor Meehlhause questioned if the rates would be changing throughout the three year <br />19 contract period. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained he did not believe <br />20 there was rate inflation within this contract. <br />21 <br />22 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Lindstrom. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9733, <br />23 Approving a Tree Removal Contract with Precision Landscape and Tree as amended requiring the <br />24 contractor to complete a satisfactory background check. <br />25 <br />26 Ayes — 4 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />27 <br />28 F. Resolution 9734, Approve a 2020 Municipal Inflow and Infiltration Grant <br />29 Request to the Metropolitan Council. <br />30 <br />31 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve a 2020 <br />32 Municipal Inflow and Infiltration Grant Request to the Metropolitan Council. He stated the Met <br />33 Council grant was designed to assist member cities with inflow and infiltration, along with sealing <br />34 or grouting sanitary sewer lines and manholes. He reported the City has participated in this grant <br />35 in previous years. <br />36 <br />37 MOTION/SECOND: Lindstrom/Gunn.
