MOU--N-DtS- <br />isiEw <br />of Mounds View Staff R <br />Item No: 5C <br />Meeting Date: May 8, 2023 <br />Type of Business: Consent Agenda <br />Administrator Review: <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Rayla Sue Ewald, Human Resource Director <br />Subject: Resolution 9749, Approving the Hire of Cody Shawbold to the Facility <br />Coordinator Position <br />Background: <br />On March 27, 2023, Council approved the new position of Facility Coordinator in the Parks and Recreation <br />Department. <br />Discussion: <br />A posting based on the job description was posted and three applications were received. One candidate <br />withdrew, and two candidates were interviewed. The interview panel consisted of the Parks and Recreation <br />Superintendent; Event Center Manager; and HR Director. Staff consensus was to recommend Mr. Cody <br />Shawbold to the position of Facility Coordinator. Mr. Shawbold successfully completed each of the <br />background processes and was offered the position at the starting rate of Step 1 of the 2023 Pay Plan <br />($24.10/hour); be on probation for six (6) months; and advance to Step 1.5 ($24.86/hour) subject to a <br />satisfactory performance evaluation.
