1
iMEMO TO: Mounds View Parks and Recreation Commission
FROM: Staff
DATE: September 22, 1982
RE: Lakeside Park Commission Update
On Sunday, September 12, 1982 the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View
Fire Department were called to Lakeside Park to put out a fire that had
been started in the Lakeside Park Pavillion. Attached is a list of the
damage that has occurred at the facility, it appears that although this
list is somewhat incomplete, that the damage will be in the range of
$3,000 - $5,000.
The building is fully insured through the O'Donohue Agency and an insurance
adjuster has been contacted to provide an accurate figure regarding the
damage so that a timely means of repairing the facility can be accomplished.
• In addition to the damage at the Lakeside Park Pavillion, the Lakeside Park
Commission met on Tuesday, September 14, 1982 to close out their year and
review their future plans for the summer of 1983. Commissioner Bowman will
provide an update at the meeting regarding Lakeside Park's future plans
as well as review the 1982 beach operations.
BKA/sll
