-3-
STAFF REPORT Staff indicated that Maureen Thielen, City
• Aquatics Director had tendered her
resignation, as she accepted a new position
in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Staff indicated
that Maureen would be a major loss to our
department, as she has done an excellent job
coordinating our aquatics program. Staff
also discussed the progress on the Community
Theater production of "Oklahoma" and stated
that the play has scheduled performance dates
of August 16, 17 , 22, 23 , 24 and 28 with all
performaces at 7 : 30 p.m.
COMMISSIONERS REPORT Commissioner Linnell indicated that she had
not had a positive experience with our summer
T-ball program and that she was not pleased
with the volunteer coach. Staff indicated
that this was an unfortunate situation and
having been informed after the fact, it was
difficult to deal with the issue at this
time . Commissioner Linnell indicated that
she would bring the issue to staff ' s
attention earlier in the year, so that the
item could be dealt with in a timely fashion.
ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis,
seconded by Commissioner Long to adjourn the
1111
meeting at 9: 45 p.m. Motion passed
unanimously. 5 ayes, 0 nayes
Re • - tfully subitted,
1./
Bruce K.
