Peterson , Manager Paving Division Midwest Asphalt Corporation 6401 Industrial Drive Box 338 Hopkins, MN 55343 Dear Mr. Peterson : This is just a short note to follow up on our phone conversation • on Monday , June 10 , 1985 regarding the modifications to the Greenfield Park project. The following items need to be adhered to as outlined in the original bid specifications: 1 . We need to have the necessary compaction test taken on the tennis court base prior to the bituminous being laid. The compaction test should be presented to David Warzala at Barton-Aschman Assoc . , 332-0421 , prior to installing the two lifts of bituminous. 2. We are willing to accept the 4 inches of recycled bituminous as a base for the bituminous trail in place of class 5, based on the understanding that you will place an additional 2 inches of class 5 material over the bituminous prior to plac- ing the final trail overlay. 3 . The northeast corner of the tennis courts needs to have the ag lime replaced with class 5 material and the entire base needs to be re-rolled prior to installation of the bituminous surface. 4 . I have attached a drawing as to how we want the corrigated pipe to be installed which recommends that an 8 - 10 foot swath, 12 inches deep, of material be excavated underneath the trail area and the geotextile fabric would then be placed down with 12 inches of granular material on top of that and • the 12 inch pipe would then be placed at grade level with 12 inches of granular material placed over the top of that.
