t <br /> MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> IIII CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> August 23 , 1984 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6 : 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6 : 34 p.m. <br /> by Chairperson Burmeister. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Commissioners Weflen , <br /> Bowman , Wermager , Silvis, Letendre and Chair- <br /> person Burmeister . <br /> Commissioners absent: Commissioner Long . <br /> Councilmembers absent: Councilmember Doty. <br /> Staff present : Parks and Recreation Director <br /> 4110Anderson . <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis , <br /> seconded by Commission Weflen to approve the <br /> July 5 , 1984 Parks and Recreation Commission <br /> meeting minutes as presented. Motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> 6 ayes 0 nayes <br /> CHAIRMAN ' S REPORT Chairperson Burmeister questioned how often <br /> the baseball/softball fields were relimed . <br /> Staff indicated that the fields were done on <br /> an alternating basis each year with half <br /> schedule done year and the other half sched- <br /> uled the following year . <br /> COUNCILMEMBER' S REPORT There was no Councilmember' s Report. <br /> PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT Staff updated the Park Commission on play- <br /> UPDATE ground equipment installations at Lambert and <br /> Random Park. Staff indicated that Lambert <br /> Park had been completed with additional fill <br /> sand being hauled during the first week in <br /> September . Staff further indicated that the <br /> old playground equipment at Lambert Park was <br /> not able to be reused as it had rotted. <br />
