-2- WOODCREST PARK Staff reported that the tot lot was started and should be done by June 22. GROVELAND TENNIS • COURTS Staff reported that two sheets of asphalt had been layed on May 28 and the fencing is next. The surface work was scheduled to begin the week of June 6. OTHER BUSINESS The commission inquired about the depth of Spring Lake and whether or not the St. Paul Waterworks would be adding any water soon. Staff said that the Waterworks Department was watching the levels and would be adding water shortly before opening the beach. COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR Resident Mary Mitchell ( from the Silver View Park area) asked the commission about their plans to complete the trail around Silver View pond. The commission informed her that the first priority will be to finish the section along Mr. Trettel ' s yard and connect to the easement. The second priority is to finish the path from Long Lake Road to County Road H2 along the Scotland Green Apartment area. The third priority will be to finish the section along the southwest side of the path. Ms. Mitchell stated that because the • comprehensive plan indicated a bridge would be installed and that the path would not be completed around the pond, she felt it should be abided by. Commissioner Starr informed Ms. Mitchell that the plan was not realistic at this time and should be revised to reflect the current budgetary limitations . Ms. Mitchell asked the commission to please inform her and the other residents around Silver View Park before any construction of a trail is begun. Chairperson Burmeister indicated that the commission would do so. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis, seconded by Chairperson Burmeister to adjourn the meeting at 7: 50 p.m. Motion passed unanimously 4 ayes, 0 nays.
