Ramsey County Department of Public Works Kenneth E. Weltzin
— Director
:rt 350 St. Peter Street and
'.
Suite 270 County Engineer
F Saint Paul, Minnesota 55102 Paul L. Kirkwold
• RAMSEY COMITY (612) 298 4127 Deputy Director
Assistant County Engineer
December 18, 1986 .‘c)
Steven Thatcher
City of Mounds View
2401 Highway 10
Mounds View, Minnesota 55112
County Road I
from T.H. 10 to I-35W
Five copies of the final feasibility report for County Road I from T.H. 10 to I-35W
are enclosed. Please sign and return one copy for our files.
The report has been revised from the draft sent to Mounds View in June in this manner:
. 1. Letters from Mounds View and the Board of Water Commissioners have been
added to the appendix. A resolution from the Board of County Commissioners
has also been added.
2. As you requested, it is no longer assumed that the right of way on the south side
of County Road I will be a uniform 43 feet. Some additional permanent and
temporary right of way will be required in order to accommodate the proposed
construction. This right of way will be acquired at city expense.
3. The timeline has been revised to show construction as 1987, rather than 1988.
This is an optomistic estimate, but one we will try to attain.
4. The sections pertaining to traffic signal participation at County Road I and
Quincy Street have been revised.
5. A section on handling traffic during construction has been added.
6. Cost estimates have been revised to reflect traffic signal and right of way changes.
7. Note that the County's public hearing requirements (Public and Agency
Involvement) are usually satisfied by a hearing held by the city.
•
