Mounds View, MN 55112 Dear Jerry: It is with mixed emotions that I submit my formal resignation as the Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry for the City of Mounds View. During the past 8-1/2 years, I have had the oppor- • tunity to grow both personally and professionally within the City of Mounds View and for that I shall be forever grateful to my fellow colleagues, City residents and City Councilmembers. Although I was not able to accomplish all of the goals we had originally established , I feel extremely positive about the development of Silver View, Groveland and Greenfield Parks, joint powers agreements with the School District and New Brighton Parks and Recreation Department, as well as greatly improving and enhancing our existing recreation program offerings. As you are aware, I have accepted a new position with the City ofII Inver_ Grove Heights, as their Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, effective October 1 , 1986. After speaking with Clerk- , Administrator_ Pauley, we have reached an understanding that I will remain in my current capacity through Friday, September 26, 1986. During the remaining month, I intend to complete the Greenfield Park L.A.W.C .O.N. Grant report, initiate the Groveland Park tennis court project, as well as finalize the Parks and Rec- reation Commission capital improvement plan . I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your fellow Councilmembers for your support, understanding and patience in dealing with a sometimes over zealous and ambitious staff member. I have found the past eight years extremely satisfying and I look 1111 forward to the new challenges that lie before me with great opti- mism and enthusiasm.
