The two multi-purpose courts at Lambert and Woodcrest Parks were eliminated at a savings of $40 , 000 . G . The archery range was eliminated at a cost of $8 , 000. H. The cost for the building structure was also reduced to $650 , 000 or a reduction of $100, 000. Total proposed reductions are $308 , 500. Staff indicated that they would provide a formal list of items to be considered for referendum at the December 12 Commission • meeting. PERMANENT PARK MAINTENANCE LEVY Staff proposed that a permanent one mill levy be dedicated for park maintenance to operate and maintain existing park lands and related 1111 public recreational facilities including the proposed improvements . Staff indicated that this would raise an additional $56 , 000 and • double our existing manpower which consists of two full-time individuals . It was the concensus of the group that this also made logical sense and should be "wrapped" into the entire park question if possible . GENERAL DISCUSSION It was the general concensus of the group that the referendum should not exceed $1 . 25 million and that a target date of January 21 , 1986 should be agreed upon for the proposed park referendum should the City Council con- cur with the task force position . NEXT MEETING DATE It was agreed that one additional meeting would be scheduled for Thursday, December 12 , 1985 at which time we would review the final figures as well as discuss any updated items regarding the recreation activity facility.
