JOINT AGENCY MEETING REGARDING <br /> MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY THEATER <br /> MINUTES <br /> Mounds View <br /> Council Chambers <br /> January 30, 1988 <br /> 9 : 00 a.m. <br /> I . PRESENT: Mounds View Mayor Linke <br /> Councilmember Hankner <br /> Councilmember Wuori <br /> Parks & Recreation Commissioner Silvis <br /> MVCT Chair Cindy Anderson <br /> MVCT Board Members John Anderson, Janet Paone, <br /> Michael Bond, Gail Woods, William Woods , and David <br /> Johnson <br /> Nick Temali , Coordinator of Community Education <br /> Irondale High School Principal David Groth <br /> Mounds View Clerk-Administrator Pauley <br /> Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry Saarion <br /> II . GOAL STATEMENT - The purpose of the Mounds View Community <br /> Theater (MVCT) is to provide an opportunity for persons <br /> especially residing within School District #621 to participate <br /> in theater by means of an artistic production. <br /> III . The development of an agreement defining guidelines and procedures <br /> regarding the needs of MVCT to provide a yearly theater <br /> • production was discussed. <br /> The first step is a meeting between MVCT Chair Cindy Anderson <br /> and Vice Chair John Anderson and Nick Temali . The purpose of <br /> this meeting is to define the needs of MVCT. <br /> The second step is to meet with Cindy Anderson, John Anderson, <br /> Nick Temali , David Groth and Mary Saarion to discuss <br /> procedures for providing such needs . <br /> The final step is to write the procedural guidelines and <br /> request approval from those agencies involved. <br /> IV. Mounds View Mayor and City Councilmembers expressed strong <br /> support for MVCT. Likewise the MVCT Board expressed a strong <br /> commitment of providing a yearly theater production. Irondale <br /> High School Principal Groth acknowledged the benefits that <br /> MVCT provides for high school and community theater. <br /> Community Education Coordinator Nick Temali stated that <br /> Community Education would make an effort to accommodate MVCT <br /> needs, but that due to other uses of the schools and <br /> equipment, commitment is dependent upon circumstances . <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10 : 50 a.m. <br /> • <br />
