MEMO TO: DONALD PAULEY, CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR <br /> • FROM: MARY SAARION, DIRECTOR <br /> PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br /> DATE: DECEMBER 10, 1987 <br /> RE: GOALS FOR 1988 <br /> RECREATION <br /> - Offer a winter program of activities in the parks to encourage winter <br /> recreational activities . .. "Snow Spectacular". <br /> - Offer and develop programs and activities to make full use of Random <br /> classroom building while still allowing time for community group use. <br /> - Develop an agreement with Mounds View Community Education, Irondale High <br /> School, Mounds View Community Theater and the City of Mounds View for the <br /> implementation of future Mounds View Community Theater productions. <br /> PARKS <br /> • - With input from the Parks and Recreation Commission, develop a workable <br /> five year capital improvements plan. <br /> - Develop maintenance practices and standards for the upkeep of Silver View <br /> and Greenfield trailways. <br /> - Maintain or heighten the level of maintenance in the parks. <br /> FORESTRY <br /> - Plantings to be placed on park property at Silver View pond <br /> southwest side. <br /> - Continue to enhance the aesthetics of the parks through landscaping. <br /> - Continue replacement of lost trees. <br /> - Continue disease control program. <br /> - Maintain the same level of service as the past years. <br />
