Freguency of Facilities Usage: <br /> To ascertain the number of visits per year to the city's <br /> park and recreation facilities of the typical Mounds View <br /> resident , interviewees were asked : <br /> Could you tell we about how often you <br /> and other members of your household <br /> have used the park and recreational <br /> facilities in Mounds View during the <br /> past year, weather permitting? <br /> The typical Mounds View residents uses park and recreational <br /> facilities several times each month : <br /> ALMOST DAILY 3% <br /> SEVERAL TIMES PER WEEK 22% <br /> ONCE PER WEEK 15%. <br /> SEVERAL TIMES PER MONTH 16'/. <br /> ONCE PER MONTH 5% <br /> SEVERAL TIMES PER YEAR 25% <br /> NOT AT ALL 12%. <br /> DON'T KNOW/REFUSED 2% <br /> i•' One-quarter of the city used the facilities at least several <br /> times each week , an impressively high utilization rate. <br /> Habitual users tended to be: <br /> * 11-20 year residents <br /> * Planning to stay at least ten years <br /> * Household contains children <br /> * 35-44 year olds <br /> * Precinct 2 residents <br /> * Over $60,000 yearly income .households <br /> Sporadic users were: <br /> * Over twenty year residents <br /> * Planning to stay 2-5 years <br /> * Household contains no children <br /> * 45-54 year olds <br /> Habitual users were then asked : <br /> What kinds of activities do you <br /> engage in? <br /> •l Softball /Baseball , walking , and playground activities dominated <br /> the responses: <br /> 1 76 <br />
