MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> • <br /> June 16 , 1988 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6 : 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7 :12 <br /> p.m. by Chairperson Wayne Burmeister <br /> following an on-site discussion of possible <br /> redevelopment of Hillview Park. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present : Silvis, Rowley, <br /> Anderson, Starr, Stevenson and Burmeister. <br /> Commissioners absent: Long <br /> Councilmembers present : Wuori , Quick <br /> Staff present : Director Saarion and <br /> Administrative Assistant Linke. <br /> Visitors : Bob Carpenter, 2650 Lake Court <br /> Drive; Clifford and Mildred Ash, 2664 Lake <br /> Court Drive; Laura and Kenneth Peterson, <br /> • 2556 Mounds View Drive; John Larson, 2568 <br /> Mounds View Drive ; Dave Rademacher, 7421 <br /> Park View Drive. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis, <br /> seconded by Commissioner Stevenson to <br /> approve the May 26 , 1988 minutes as <br /> written. Motion passed unanimously 6 ayes , <br /> 0 nayes. <br /> CHAIRPERSON' S REPORT Chairperson Burmeister asked if the trees <br /> at Silver View were being watered as they <br /> looked in distress. Director Saarion <br /> stated that they were being watered, but <br /> the drought conditions were so severe that <br /> the park maintenance crew was unable to <br /> keep up. Chairperson Burmeister expressed <br /> concern about the increasing number of musk <br /> rats at Silver View Park. Director Saarion <br /> stated that she would request trapping of <br /> the muskrats once again this year. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER' S REPORT Councilmember Wuori reported that park <br /> dedication fees will be paid by Amoco and <br /> that the Harstad Company has requested a <br /> waiver of fee in lieu of donated land <br /> • should their development be approved. <br /> Councilmember Wuori also stated that the <br /> recycling program begins Tuesday, June 22. <br />
