Following a tour of City parks, the meeting was <br /> called to order at 7 : 35 p.m. by Chairperson <br /> Wayne Burmeister. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Commissioners Starr, <br /> Daniels, Rowley, Anderson and Chairperson <br /> Burmeister. <br /> Commissioners absent: Commissioners Long and <br /> Silvis <br /> Councilmembers present : Councilmember Quick. <br /> Staff present: Director Saarion and <br /> Administrative Assistant Linke. <br /> APPROVAL OF <br /> MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Daniels, <br /> seconded by Commissioner Starr to approve the <br /> March 26 , 1987 minutes as written. <br /> • AGENDA ADDITIONS Staff recommended that a discussion on a Public <br /> • <br /> Hearing for Random Park be added under section <br /> VIII "Old Business" . <br /> CHAIRPERSON' S <br /> REPORT Chairperson Burmeister reported that he had <br /> received a letter from a resident requesting <br /> permission to place duck and geese feeders on <br /> Silver View Park property. After a brief <br /> discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner <br /> Daniels, seconded by Commissioner Anderson to <br /> deny permission for the duck and geese feeders <br /> on park property and to suggest that he place <br /> them on his own property. The motion passed <br /> unanimously: 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> Chaiperson Burmeister also expressed concern <br /> about the growing numbers of muskrat houses <br /> along the bank of the Silver View Park pond and <br /> suggested that staff contact the DNR about <br /> arranging for a the muskrats to be trapped. <br /> In addition, Chairperson Burmeister stated that <br /> the drainage culverts in Silver View Park were <br /> full of trash and should be cleaned out. Staff <br /> • indicated that those types of maintenance items <br /> would be taken care of when the summer J.P.T.A. <br /> crew begins work. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER'S <br /> REPORT No Report <br />
