r ' <br /> -3- <br /> The minutes of the unofficial September <br /> meeting were reviewed. <br /> • STAFF REPORT Director Saarion reported that the <br /> construction of the trail around Silver <br /> View Pond was discontinued by the City <br /> Council until more information could be <br /> gathered from outside consultants. <br /> Commissioners and staff expressed concern <br /> with the cutting down of trees and brush <br /> around the Silver View Pond by residents. <br /> Staff stated that a letter was sent to the <br /> homeowners, but she would follow up on it <br /> once again. <br /> Director Saarion stated that a licensed <br /> trapper would begin trapping muskrats in <br /> Silver View Park as soon as the season <br /> opened. <br /> Staff reported that the Mounds View Lion ' s <br /> Club had donated mini-blinds, tables , <br /> chairs and cupboards for the new Random <br /> Park Classroom building. The building is <br /> being used regularly by scouts, pre-school , <br /> seniors, and youth groups. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS Commissioner Silvis stated that the path at <br /> • Greenfield Park needed addtional <br /> maintenance. Staff indicated that weekly <br /> maintenance to the trail is needed but <br /> unfortunately, staff is not available at <br /> this time. <br /> Statt asked for a Commissioner to act as <br /> liaison to the Mounds View Community <br /> Theater Board.
