Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson <br />3 indicated he would reach out to Met Council for an update. <br />4 <br />5 MOTION/SECOND: Lindstrom/Cermak. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />12 <br />13 Acting Mayor Meehlhause opened the meeting for public comment. <br />14 <br />15 Robert King, 7408 Silver Lake Road, expressed frustration with the fact the City did not let the <br />16 residents or Lions know that the EDA meeting time had been changed. <br />17 <br />18 Acting Mayor Meehlhause reported the Closed EDA meeting was scheduled for 6:00 p.m. He <br />19 explained this meeting was delayed until after the City Council meeting due to the fact there would <br />20 be special guests in attendance at the Council meeting. <br />21 <br />22 Renee Johnson, 7385 Pleasant View Drive, stated when the Council has worksession meetings, <br />23 she feared the Council was not proactively allowing the public to interact and speak. She suggested <br />24 the Council allow for comment at their worksession meetings. In addition, she supported the City <br />25 better communicating with the public through its website in order to keep the residents properly <br />26 informed on civic matters. <br />27 <br />28 Council Member Lindstrom reported the Festival in the Park Committee would be meeting next <br />29 on Tuesday, May 16 at the Public Works building at 7:00 p.m. <br />30 <br />31 Council Member Gunn stated she and Council Member Cermak attended the fundraiser for the <br />32 Quincy House. <br />33 <br />34 Council Member Gunn explained the first Human Rights Task Force would be meeting on <br />35 Thursday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. <br />36 <br />37 Council Member Cermak reported the Police Foundation would be meeting on Tuesday, May 9 at <br />38 5:30 p.m. at Hodges Park. <br />39 <br />40 Acting Mayor Meehlhause indicated he would be attending a convention bureau meeting on <br />41 Tuesday, May 9, along with Council Members Cermak and Gunn. <br />42 <br />43 Acting Mayor Meehlhause stated next week on May 17, May 18 and May 19 the Mounds View <br />44 Lions would be hosting their annual garage at Hillview Park from 8:00-6:00 on Wednesday and <br />45 Thursday and 8:00-2:00 on Friday. <br />46 <br />
